GMO Cybersecurity by IERAE Receives ASOCIO AI in Cybersecurity Award 2026 in Jakarta

Integrated “AI for Security” and “Security for AI” program delivers measurable improvements in threat detection and enterprise AI security.

Jakarta, 6 October 2026 — GMO Cybersecurity by IERAE, Inc. today received the ASOCIO AI in Cybersecurity Award at the ASOCIO Digital & AI Summit 2026 in Jakarta. Mr. Hikohiro Lin accepted the award on behalf of GMO Cybersecurity by IERAE, Inc. The award recognizes the company’s innovative use of artificial intelligence to strengthen cybersecurity operations while protecting enterprise AI systems against emerging threats.

The summit brought together government officials, industry leaders, and technology associations from across Asia and Oceania. Attendees included Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono; officials from the Ministry of Defense, the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), and the Ministry of Creative Economy; the Chairman of ASOCIO; the Chairman of the ASEAN Japan Cybersecurity Community Alliance (AJCCA); and leaders of associations across the Asia–Oceania region.

GMO Cybersecurity by IERAE, Inc. is a member of the Japan Network Security Association (JNSA), which is a member organization of AJCCA. This connection places the company within a regional network supporting cybersecurity collaboration, knowledge exchange, and capacity building across ASEAN and Japan.

The award recognizes a dual-mandate AI program that integrates “AI for Security”—using AI to enhance cybersecurity capabilities—and “Security for AI”—protecting AI technologies so they can be deployed safely and responsibly.

Under its “AI for Security” approach, GMO Cybersecurity by IERAE embeds AI agents into its Security Operations Center (SOC) and Attack Surface Management (ASM) operations. These agents automate vulnerability intelligence analysis, proof-of-concept (PoC) generation, and detection signature creation in near real time.

According to the performance information submitted for the award nomination, this implementation has increased SOC processing capacity by approximately five times and reduced Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) by 50 percent, without additional headcount. These results demonstrate how AI can help security teams manage larger volumes of threats while accelerating detection.

In parallel, the company’s “Security for AI” mandate addresses the risks associated with enterprise AI adoption. Its AI-Agent Penetration Testing service uses adversarial AI to assess AI systems for vulnerabilities such as prompt injection and data leakage.

The nomination reports that the service delivers up to ten times broader scenario coverage and reduces false positives by around 60 percent. These improvements support more comprehensive and accurate security assessments, helping organizations identify weaknesses and strengthen safeguards around their AI deployments.

A distinguishing feature of the initiative is its ability to translate cutting-edge offensive security research into scalable defensive capabilities. Dynamic PoC generation and AI-driven threat hunting connect research into attack techniques with practical improvements in detection and protection.

The program is also supported by a Responsible AI framework described in the nomination as aligned with global standards. Together, its measurable operational impact, technical innovation, and responsible governance demonstrate leadership in securing both existing digital systems and emerging AI technologies.

The recognition of GMO Cybersecurity by IERAE highlights an increasingly important priority for the Asia–Oceania region: using AI to strengthen cyber resilience while ensuring that AI itself remains secure. As adoption accelerates across industries and public services, this integrated approach offers a practical foundation for trusted digital transformation.
