Tokyo, October 1, 2025 – The ASEAN Japan Cybersecurity Community Alliance (AJCCA) has reaffirmed its confidence in Indonesia’s leadership. In its Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Tokyo yesterday, Rudi Lumanto from Indonesia was unanimously re-elected as Chairman of AJCCA for another two-year term.
The decision came with the full agreement of nine cybersecurity community leaders from ASEAN member countries and one representative from Japan, the Japan Network Security Association (JNSA). The election process, traditionally held every two years during the AGM, proceeded smoothly with no objections raised.
The AGM took place ahead of the AJCCA Conference 2025, which will be officially opened by the Head of Japan’s National Cybersecurity Office and attended by key cybersecurity officials and representatives from ASEAN countries.
Strengthening Bonds and Collaboration
In his opening remarks as re-elected chairman, Rudi Lumanto expressed his gratitude and optimism for the alliance’s continued collaboration.
“The trust and confidence that you have placed in me is a reflection of the stronger bonds we have built as a community,” he said. “This is a good point to start again, hand in hand, to strengthen our next programs and initiatives.”
He emphasized that one of the key focuses for the coming term would be empowering capacity on artificial intelligence (AI) within member communities. “AI is transforming the cybersecurity landscape,” Rudi noted. “We must ensure that our members are not only aware of its potential but are also equipped to use it effectively for defence, resilience, and innovation.”
A United Vision for Regional Cybersecurity
Under Rudi’s leadership, AJCCA has continued to grow as a vital platform connecting cybersecurity communities across ASEAN and Japan. The alliance promotes knowledge exchange, joint capacity-building, and collaborative initiatives to enhance regional cyber resilience.
Rudi’s re-election marks a continuation of stability and shared vision within the alliance. The unanimous support from all members signals a strong sense of unity and commitment toward strengthening regional cybersecurity cooperation.
As AJCCA moves into its next chapter, Rudi’s renewed leadership is expected to further drive initiatives that focus on emerging technologies, intelligence sharing, and regional capacity development—laying the groundwork for a more secure and trusted digital ecosystem across ASEAN and Japan.
