New Global Partner in Cybersecurity: AJCCA and PIKOM

Kuala Lumpur, February 9, 2026 – The ASEAN Japan Cybersecurity Community Alliance (AJCCA) has taken another significant step in strengthening regional and global cybersecurity collaboration by formalizing a new partnership with PIKOM, Malaysia’s largest National Technology Association.

The partnership was sealed through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the AJCCA Board Meeting held in Kuala Lumpur today. The collaboration marks a strategic alignment between regional cybersecurity communities and Malaysia’s technology industry ecosystem.

Strengthening Cybersecurity for Industry

As the biggest national technology association in Malaysia, PIKOM has consistently emphasized the critical role of cybersecurity in supporting industry growth and digital transformation. The association actively promotes cybersecurity awareness and capability building, including through major initiatives such as the Future of Cybersecurity Summit 2026, which is expected to bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and cybersecurity professionals.

Alex Liu, Chairman of PIKOM, welcomed the collaboration and expressed optimism about its potential impact.

“Cybersecurity is no longer optional for industry—it is fundamental,” he said. “With this collaboration, I hope PIKOM and AJCCA can do more together, creating greater value for both the technology sector and the wider digital economy.”

Collaboration as a Key to Resilience

From AJCCA’s perspective, the partnership reflects the growing importance of collaboration in addressing increasingly complex cyber threats. Rudi Lumanto, Chairman of AJCCA, highlighted that cooperation has become a decisive factor for success in today’s cybersecurity landscape.

“Collaboration is one of the most crucial factors for success and sustainable growth,” Rudi stated. “Cybersecurity challenges are becoming more difficult and more sophisticated. To be truly resilient, we must work together—across communities, industries, and borders.”

A Shared Vision Forward

The AJCCA–PIKOM partnership is expected to open new opportunities for joint programs, industry engagement, capacity building, and knowledge exchange, particularly in areas where cybersecurity intersects with business and innovation.

As cyber threats continue to evolve globally, the collaboration sends a clear message: resilience is built collectively. By joining forces, AJCCA and PIKOM aim to strengthen cybersecurity readiness not only within ASEAN and Japan, but also across the broader international technology community.
